Insider tip

The lunch queue is long but moves fast. The takeaway counter at the front sells katsu sandwiches, which make a good picnic for Yoyogi Park nearby.

Lunch. Tonkatsu Maisen in Aoyama, a former public bathhouse that now serves the best kurobuta pork cutlet in the city. The queue moves fast, and if it doesn't, the katsu sandwiches from the takeaway counter next door are a fine alternative.
