What's on in Tokyo

Things to do in Tokyo this weekend

Friday 23 October to Sunday 25 October

521 events across the weekend: 216 exhibitions, 116 festivals, 63 performances, 48 markets, 22 food events, 21 gardens, 14 sports events, 13 anime and games events and 8 illuminations. Arguably the most comfortable month of the year: dry, mild, still green, and short on crowds. Chrysanthemum shows, food festivals, and design week fill the calendar. Around the neighbourhoods this weekend

397 smaller local events this weekend: shopping street festivals, park fairs, flea markets and temple fair days, read from the wards', parks' and organisers' own pages.

397 local events. Loading the list...

Read from the wards', parks' and organisers' own pages and refreshed twice a week; each row links to its source. Rain and small numbers cancel street events, so check the source on the day. Spotted a mistake? hello@roamcitymaps.com

What is on in Tokyo this weekend, 23 to 25 October?

521 dated events fall across Friday to Sunday: 216 exhibitions, 116 festivals, 63 performances, 48 markets, 22 food events, 21 gardens, 14 sports events, 13 anime and games events and 8 illuminations. 11 regular weekend markets run as well. Each listing opens on the interactive map.

What should I do in Tokyo on a weekend with no plans?

Pick one neighbourhood per day rather than crossing the city. Arguably the most comfortable month of the year: dry, mild, still green, and short on crowds. Chrysanthemum shows, food festivals, and design week fill the calendar.

How often is this page updated?

Weekly. The window rolls forward to the next weekend every Monday, and the events behind it are refreshed at the same time.
