Kuramae is a further ten minutes north-east along the Sumida River, and the most residential of the four. Over the past decade it has filled with small coffee roasters, leather workshops and stationery makers, and it has the neighbourhood feel Akihabara lacks: a supermarket, a riverside promenade, a park. Leaves Coffee Roasters and Dandelion Chocolate are the two pins that explain the area's reputation.
