If you chose Nakameguro on day three, or chose Shimokitazawa and want it again, swap the Yanaka evening for a full second Shimokita session. Keep the Roppongi morning, then take the Chiyoda line to Yoyogi-Uehara and the Odakyu line two stops west. Arrive mid-afternoon for Shimokitazawa Reload, the low-rise development along the tracks that got the neighbourhood right, and a coffee flight at Ogawa there. Eat at Wine Laundry, charcoal yakitori paired with natural wine in a room the size of a kitchen, then end at whichever of the Shimokitazawa live venues has a band on. Shelter and Garage are the institutions. There's a version of this neighbourhood that only shows itself after 9pm, and this is the night to meet it.

About 135 shops around Shimokitazawa join this 15th edition, including 110 curry restaurants and 21 dessert shops. Order a curry at a participating shop to collect a stamp, and filled stamp maps can be swapped for prizes at the reception desk. This year has a tie-in with Sega's Puyo Puyo and Sonic.
